Ran over 1/2 of a truck tire

A passing truck kicked a piece of tire into my lane and hit the front wheel on our 2115 Hurricane 27K. It took out the exhaust system and bent the drive shaft. Ford did the repairs for $2100. We were lucky that's all it did.

On the way towards the Eastern High Sierras on Hwy395 last summer I ran over a complete tire retread, "alligator".

The car in front of me ran over it, and did not swerve, so It came straight at me and under my 34E, on the right side. It did no permanent damage to my motorhome, (besides some black rubber streaks that had to be rubbed out on the molding strip under the storage bay).

However, when it hit my tow dolly, (ACME EZ-Tow), it broke the plastic fender. It pulled off the plastic fairing under the bumper on my Prius. And there are still black streaks on the bumper and paint that I have not rubbed out yet.

I hate commercial trucks! Use more trains!

The same thing happen to us. The alligator took out our exhaust system and bent the drive shaft. There was no other damage except to the pocket book, $2600.
