vegas passenger heat duct
On our 2015 Vegas, there is a duct hanging down in the passenger side foot area. There is no cover on this. When we're driving down the road, heat pours out of it. I'd like to put something on it to control the air flow.
Has anyone done anything to theirs? Any ideas?

Punch holes in a plastic lid from a pringles or other suitable lid that fits the hose and secure it inside the flexible supply pipe. You can also buy a round car vent hole similar to the ones found on a Corvette. These have a rotating volume baffle.

After searching for a vent cover that would fit, we decided to put a strap on the hose and afix it to the carpet so that it is aimed away from the foot area.
Thanks for your replies.

Oh yeah. I got down on the floor with a head lamp to check things out. The hose is 3" in diameter. It is just loose in the passenger foot area. It does deliver excellent heat.
I checked the driver side, and the hose is held up by a steel piece ( this steel plate serves an unrelated function).
I think it'll be ok if I can just point it in a different direction.
How is your hose affixed?

Well....we went out n checked our heater hose location...it is exactly as you said...just kinda lays there...looks uinfinished to me ...Ron sez...who cares nobody sees it...I suppose if a person wants to cut it back a bit that would work...ours stays right where it is in this photo...and on drivers side it is neatly tucked in there. hmmmm

Thank you for the picture. Yep, pretty much like ours.
I don't really care how it looks, either. It's just that the hot air is directed right at me, or right at my mini poodle if she decides to lay there.
So, we're going to hold it up and direct it to the side, should be an easy fix.

Sometime ago, I called Thor Customer Assistance about the big hose & wire exposed under passenger side dashboard. Asked if we were missing a panel or something.
Nope, no panel; "just zip tie the wires and the ducting up to get them out of the way."
I like the idea of putting a vent on it though

I thought a vent might be a good idea, at first. But now, I don't think I'd want to bother reaching for it to open or close. We'll see how it goes on our next trip.

I agree .. I think it stinks that we pay as much as do and they will not finish it in the manner in which it should be !! Nuff said about that...
Now..fortunately, at this time, we travel more when we need a/c not heat...so that hose is irrelevant...when we travel during the winter...I might be looking for a better fix for that hose on my side of the motorhome.
Ron sez ...If that is the only problem we encounter with our Axis...we are happy campers! We bought our ' new toy' January 2016 and are happy campers !
Keep us posted if you find a nifty to cosmetic solution to the stinkin hose !

We have the same thing on our Windsport 29M. Heater hose just hanging down at the bottom of the dash on the driver's side.
