That's a nice looking unit. Didn't realize Thor had a new one was out. Is it rated above or below the Challenger. The floor plan looks almost identical to our new Daybreak 34XD. That which I see that I like better than ours is the extra counter space pull out above the drawers, DW would kill to have that extra space, I like the Duo Tone furniture, though I am satisfied with what we got. I don't have the pull down bed and didn't want one, so that's not a point with me, but I did like the electric shades over the poor at best draw shades across the front and the computer work station. On the outside, needless to say, I loved the full body paint and wish we had it on the Daybreak. I had bought a used Tiffin 37DB that had that option by 1st owner. Much easier to keep clean and to wax. Don't really know much about the 22.5 wheels, had them on the Tiffin and know that they are expensive to replace. We have the 19.5s, but I'd love to have them on Aluminum Wheels. One biggie on the Miramar that I'd kill to have was that far better wet compartment. The one on My Daybreak is poor and antiquated at best. It has the old style hose external connection so I had to buy a 90 degree adapter to reduce stress on the fitting. I'm also not able as far as I know to fill the tank without disconnecting and using the manual fill on the other side of the unit. The rear docking lights and the rear gas fill would be nice options.

New Class A Motorhomes | 2014 Miramar

9UC,
The new Miramar falls between the Daybreak RVs and Challenger brand of class A motorhomes. You'll find the Miramar has a taller basement, larger tires, some upgraded amenities, optional hide-away bunk bed, rear dock lights, larger capacities, ect, and HD-MAX exteriors come standard over the Daybreak.

The Miramar's 34.2 is a sister floor plan to the 34XD, I think the full wall slide-out, Denver Mattress king bed, 32" swivel TV, and the large U-booth make for a great layout..

34.2

Happy Travel, I Wish you the Best...

Thanks for the additional information. Yeah, noticed most of the major upgrades except for taller storage. Of the upgrades, the superior wet compartment interested me the most, followed by the full body paint. The larger tires and upgraded wheels would be nice, but as noted, I don't know the advantages of one over the other. For our use the 19.5s will do, and the Aluminum wheels would look got on my unit. As our Daybreak is only 4 months out of the dealership, think I'll have to pass on any lustful desires for a more upgraded coach.

I'm already on thin ice with DW on purchases. The Thor was my idea, traded in a paid for '11 Vista 26P, then the morning of the 24th of June, less than 90 days later, I sold my '65 Mustang and later that morning as Mustang withdrawal set in, I went to the local Ford dealer and bought a used 2013 Mustang V6 Premium convertible. She's just now beginning to talk to me civilly again.

Just a typo, Thor's Freedom Elite RVs are still among the best-selling class c motorhomes.

Happy Trails...

Inspiration

Stan,
Just read your comment about trading in the RV and buying a new used Mustang... You are an inspiration for we retirees... I just bought an electric assist bicycle to take with us on the back of our Axis... not a 'Stang, but, you do what you can when you can.

The Tuscany XTE is not listed. It should be shown as being retired. Also some of the links are no longer taking you to a valid Web page.

The Tuscany XTE is not listed. It would now be shown as retired. Also several of the links are no longer valid such as the Thor Diesel Club and Owners Support Page.

After Thor delivered our E450 coach on an E350 chassis they overhauled their website so that none of the information was accessible any longer! They also broke the links to any saved builds that existed (at least for my Class C coaches).

If you add the entire list of towables that list above would seem VERY short, as Thor & Forest River own 85-90%+/- of the rv industry & Thor being the larger of the two. When you see a motorhome, 5th wheel, or travel trailer on the highway it's fairly certain Thor owns that brand.
