Seat height

Has anyone found a way to drop the driver seat in a 29.2 ACE about 1 to 2 inches? Love the the seat it’s just a tad too tall for my liking.

Welcome aboard!
Do you like the seat too much to try removing some foam out of it?

I replaced the 10 or 9 inch base with a 7 inch base on the passengers side. I got the base from shop4seats.com. It was a very easy job, first remove the seat from origanal base, then remove the 4 bolts holding the seat base down. On my ACE the bolts came through frame in the wheel well so easy to get to. I had the whole job done in about 1hr.

Best of luck with your 29.2!! We just traded ours after 2 years, only because we found we needed more floor space. My feet didn't touch the floor while driving or on the toilet....ha. It was a Great coach for us.
all the best to you!!

Not even on the toilet???

There are times when you need to have both feet solidly planted on the ground; I can't think of any of them being more important, than when you're in "The Library"!

@be happy, I went to the web address you stated, and I could not figure out how to navigate to the 7" base I'm needing. Any suggestions how to search for it. And perhaps an approx cost you paid. If it's too much $, I may just remove padding. Thanks

It might be this one:

7" Swivel Base - RV FURNITURE

but that website is one of the worst I've seen. Search works when it wants to and maybe it will respond to mouse clicks. I never could get this page to load.

Jusjay sorry did not get back to you. Yes thats the correct one that the link was provided for. The bolt holes match up to the floor and seat perfect.
Good Luck

Does this base allow for front to back adjustments too or just swivel?

From the pictures, only the swivel lever is shown. The forward/rear lever would already be on your chair, and attached to this item.

The base is just a “base”. Swivel and front to back is a separate part that attaches to the base.

My apologies. Finch1408 is correct. It’s been awhile since I installed ours.
