Satellite radio

I would like any advice on satellite radio installation on the VEGAS/AXIS, in particular how to run the antenna wire to the inside of the coach. Thanks.

We just put the antenna on the dash as far forward as it it'll go and it works great. It didn't need to be outside the coach.

I did the same on my Challenger. Put the antenna as far forward as possible on the middle of the dash and it works fine.

I did something similar with my GPS antenna: put it under the access panel in front of the dash. Tracks the satellites just fine there.

I love this forum!! I put the antenna far forward near the windshield, tucked the wire in the seams of the dash, hooked everything up, activated my radio, paid my subscription and now have satellite radio. Easiest install ever. Thanks to you all.

Hmm.
I tried the same thing this weekend, without success.
Only in one position though. I'll try again.

I did this and still can't get a signal when traveling north. Did anyone use the magnetic mount or something else? If you used the magnetic mount, did you use any ground plane under it? I have tried both ways and still can not get good XM reception while traveling north.

The antenna should be grounded through the internal circuitry of the radio itself.

Not sure about your radio or the antenna plug, but have you tried the antenna from the dock and play home kit?

XM and SiriusXM Dock & Play Home Kit - Shop - SiriusXM Radio

I have the home antenna for mine on the window sill of a north facing window and have no issues. The adjustability of the antenna may be what you need for your situation.

I have problems with lost signal heading north. Looking to get the antenna up under the fiberglass front cap. Has anyone completed this mod on a newer Challenger with the front bunk bed?
