Self-starting generator.

I have a 35 foot 2015 Four Winds Super C. Diesel powered. I have the self-starting generator that brings the batteries up automatically when the settings (manual in my case) drops below a set level. However, the generator stays on for the number of hours that are set, NOT on reaching the correct level of charge which appears to be 13.6 in my system.

Question1: How long on average should the generator run to bring an 11.8 voltage level level up to the 13.6 level? Two twelve vote batteries in my system.
With the electric refrigerator off? On?

Question 2. When i am in the store mode for even two weeks, I find that the batteries are discharged? Any ideas?

Can't answer Q1, but for Q2: Install a cutoff-switch. Even in store mode some current is being consumed.

(Its either install your own disconnect or spend hours and hours tracing down vampire current draws.)

Thanks. I was thinking the same thing. I'll get one of those little 10 dollar screw down type things for the battery terminal. I used one on my Ford Focus Toad effectively.

Set your ags to two hours. That should be enough charge time. Works for me!

Full battery charge is 12.7 volts.
