Self Tapping screw heads are popping off on Venetian

I have a 2017 Thor Venetian and have a problem going on with the self tapping screws that hold the basement door catches to the motorhome.
The heads of the screws are breaking off which allows the door to swing open.
We also had this happen on one of the shocks attached to the door.
I have never touched those screws so I'm wondering what is causing this.
These are the black 10x1" 8 point self tapping screws.
Call Thor Tech and they have never heard of this and that I should bring it to a service center. I have been replacing the screws with new ones from the local hardware store.
I did bring the Venetian to the service center over winter for its final warranty work of which there was snow, ice & salt on the road. I'm wondering if the screws weakened from this?

Think Thor uses the lowest grade pot metal screws they can buy. Issues in spots on my Quantum as well. Replaced with good SS screws when i find them.

Some of us have not necessarily had the screws get decapitated, but ours do rust out. So we have also been replacing with SS ones. Any stripped ones get a slightly bigger fastener, like instead of a 10 step up to a 12.
