Ron mounted our plastic pipe under the rear end of the Axis..capped off one end and the other end cap has a cotter key holding it in place. Has used this setup not only on the Axis but previous RV's as well. Lets see if I can find my photos of that setup...here ya go ...Click image for larger version

I use a 5 gallon plastic pail and curl the hose in. It very simple and effective. Periodically I will rinse the pail out from any residue from the hose. I store the pail in the left rear storage area on my ACE 30.3

We used the plastic bin method for twenty-odd years...but have downsized to a 24 ft Citation and wanted our storage back, ‘cause that bin took up a lot of space! This summer we bought a Valterra sewage hose holder. It is meant to screw onto the frame but there wasn’t a likely spot on our rig unless we drilled holes into the rear bumper...not gonna happen!

We have a bike rack on the rear hitch. We bought two large hose clamps that fit around the outside of the Valterra and slipped them around our bike rack, on the side facing the motorhome (rather than the side facing the bikes). Have driven hundreds of miles since then and it’s working great - the Valterra is mounted on the bike rack away from the bikes, it’s at waist height so it’s easy to use without bending way down, and we put caps on both ends of the sewage hose before stowing it in the Valterra so that there aren’t any drips.

How about a picture? It sounds like a slick setup!

My hubby went to the plumbing section of our local hardware store and purchase a long hard plastic tube we installed in the back storage space in our Vegas and put screw caps on both ends so he can slide in the hose when not in use and slide it out to use. Thought that was pretty cool that he came up with.

We had a tube installed under the rear end of our Vegas to hold the sewer hose.

You bet - we aim for slick! Two hose clamps are around the Valterra. They are also linked through smaller hose clamps that encircle the vertical supports on the bike rack. Sturdy as can be and hasn’t moved a smidge since we set it up!

On my 29M I just toss them in the compartment that has the dump valves and plumbing. Every thing in the compartment is sewer related, so no need for a separate storage bin or holder.

I bought an expandable sewer hose tube and attached it to the underside of my Sprinter chassis with large metal worm clamps. The passenger rear storage door has to be opened to access it. Works great. I put end caps on both ends. I also have a smaller 5' section that I keep in a plastic tube with a lid inside the driver's side storage and use it more than the longer hose under the coach.

OK so.... Just a tiny tiny bit off topic.
I have a macerator so I have no need for a slnky holder.
HOWEVER:
I was just about to install a floor safe into the 24.1 that would go through the floor and reside in the well an underslung spare wheel has.
I'm now, after reading this thread, going to do something entirely different.

I'm going to install the slinky holder from valterra and use IT as the safe. Big label 'sewer hose, open with caution'. A small little obligatory type padlock on it...maybe a bit of correctly colored tulip t-shirt paint dripping out the opening....

Who in the hell would open the slinky holder to rummage round .?
(patent pending)

Sewer hose

We store our sewer hose in our storage because believe or not we have our new sewer hose stolen at a park in Longview, WA. Pretty sure it was a full timer there, but couldn't prove it. They took there old broken one that looked like ours and replaced while we were away from our rig. Didn't realize it till we were packing up and getting ready to leave. Never thought we have that stolen.

ROCKY-IN-AR, or in Alabama : ).... maybe you've told us what make/model rig you have, but if you have a diesel pusher like mine, you've got a DEF bay, which is just right for throwing in slinky hoses, attachments, and anything you want to leave in the elements, as the DEF bay has no floor, at least until you easily add a wire mesh one, like I did. I used normal wire 'closet shelving', and simply cut it to length, and added zip ties to keep it in place.
Now all my 'stuff' that doesn't mind getting 'dirty' gets thrown in, because, after all, it's gonna get dirty!

Come see us - Lacey's Spring, AL

I do the same on my Axis 27.7. Fits with room to spare. The stinky slinky is capped at both ends when not in use and in storage.

I've had a number of small, outside things walk away when staying at the "live-in" campgrounds. Biggest was a portable grill with custom made gas hoses and a 20# bottle. I found it and he was using it...how stupid! The goober was so stupid, he tried to tell the cops he bought it and anyone can do the same thing. He acquired a nice set of "brass bracelets" and his toothless wife tried crying him out of them. I have no compassion for a liar or a thief! Lock stuff up at night...especially if it's in a CG that has permanent residents. So sad that the 1% of trash affects such a majority of really good people.

We keep everything locked-up... Day and night!
But I sell insurance; so I'm a bit too sensitive to these kinds of problems.
