Smile Vegas, actual weight

We are trying to figure out what car we can tow behind the 2014 Vegas (made in Dec. 14). So I took it to our local Flying J truck stop and used the CAT scales. Weight with our camping gear in it and a full tank of fuel and a driver is 12020 pounds, which is significantly less than the brochure says. The scale maintenance guys were there just before we got on, so it should be accurate. It is a 25.1 model. So a little more room for a towed vehicle,

Our 2014 24.1 came out to 11,400lbs with full gas, water, propane, our stuff and the 3 of us in it.

My last fully loaded for travel scale reading for the coach was 12120 lbs. We drag a 2dr wrangler down the road and it approaches 4200 lbs. depending on how much firewood and stuff we pack into it.

CAT scales

We used that scale too. The company that makes them is in a little Iowa town just 20 miles west of here, Walcott. Home of a very large truck stop on I-80 also.

Yup; where I got my mudflap weights--now I'm forever getting Iowa 80 Chrome catalogs LOL.
