Challenger Outdorr TV

Does anyone know how to remove the outdoor tv so I can get access to the inputs? It looks as though it's attached to a bracket that is held in place with 4 Torx screws. The only problem is neither my T20 nor T15 external bits fit. Is there another size in between ? Thanks

Try square drive just like most other screws in Challenger

My Challenger outdoor TV is on a pullout mount. Will also swivel. Found that out trying to hook a Wii up.

Yeah. It takes a bit of force on mine, but I like that, means it's not going to rattle around when we are driving!

This is news to me! Where would one look for the release for that? We felt around all sides of the TV and found nothing.

No release on mine, just pull firmly. I can't be sure yours is the same but it seems likely.

Thanks. All indications are that ours is screwed in. If we pull much harder we'll have a broken Seiki. (might not be a bad thing?? )

The swivel is held in with magnets, pull on the end of the tv to break them loose, they're pretty strong!

Did anyone answer your question? I know on some Mercedes driver side mirrors (car) they take a 5 point torx. If you can count if it's a 6 point and also check and make sure it's not a safety torx(little nub in the middle). You could take picture and I might be able to tell you what it is.

Can anyone share a picture of the mount in the pulled out position? I swear I have pulled to the point of almost breaking the TV. I'm convinced there is no mount behind ours, It's literally screwed to the metal box. If I feel around the underside of the TV the sink plumbing is almost right up against the back of the TV.

As requested. This is a 2017 Thor Challenger 37LX.

Wow. Thank you! Our 2017 37LX outdoor TV definitely does not have that kind of mount. Where your mount is attached, we have an opening to the sink underneath. I can actually see and feel the sink drain plumbing from behind the TV.

Your coach was specked out and advertised as having outdoor TV on swivel, take it back to the dealer I'm sure they will change it out if it is a fixed mount.

Comparing your pictures to our set up, the metal "box" the TV sits in is completely different. Not sure how they could put a different mount in there. The second picture shows the sink drain plumbing taken from the underside of the TV. Forth picture is from inside the sink cabinet. LOTS of daylight and heat coming in through the TV box when the cover is open.

EDIT: Sorry the last two pictures are rotated. Haven't figured out how to prevent that.

Wow, that seems like a bad design. I would call Thor and ask them what the heck!?

My 23 foot Gemini has the same exact mount as Mile in AZ has. I am surprised they would bother having more than one mount for all models.

You got me thinking about this. Seems as though it's an 8 point Torx. Never heard of it but a square drive worked just fine.
No such luck having a swivel. Just a stationary mount. Oh well. Trying to hook up a Bluetooth transmitter so I can listen thru the outside speakers.
Thanks for your help

Just my 2 cents' worth, the swivel mount on the outdoor TV comes standard with the '17 Challenger. I would contact Thor.

I wouldn't mind one of those mounts for my Ace. Might have to do some research.
