Strong Gasoline Smell

There is a very strong gasoline smell when I run my a/c or vent. It wasn’t as bad when I turned it off. Then I noticed the smell under the front half of my rv as well. I didn’t see a leak anywhere. Any ideas what could be going on? I have 2015 Thor Hurricane. My rv is not old. I shouldn’t have a rotted hose. I took my rv out last month & there was no smell. Not sure what happened between trips. It’s been parked.

Leaking gas is nothing to mess around with!

Diagnosis might depend on when you notice the gas smell. Driving or after being stored.

I'd suggest you take the doghouse off and check the engine from above. If nothing is apparent, (and even if something is) it will be time to take to a RV shop or call a mobile RV tech. So you might want to skip the part about removing the doghouse!

Please report back with the fix.

We are assuming you talking about the Ford chassis AC for the cockpit area only.

When I first saw the posting I thought it was going to be about the Generator.

Check for fuel leaks like Mr Sunshine said and if you dont find it I would bring to your local Ford Dealership that works on RV's.

If its not leaking while sitting with engine off it must be something that has to be pressurized. So fuel lines, fuel rail?
