Styrofoam in AC ceiling vents

Hi, we just got a 2018 Compass 23TR and I noticed that there are round disk shaped Styrofoam "plugs" up behind the air conditioning vents in the ceiling ducts. Are these there as air restrictors? Should i remove them? They seem to limit the output of the AC, although that does work fine as is. Just not a lot of air output. So I have let them be but I'm picking up bits of Styrofoam all the time when the AC is on. Thanks kindly!

There are just four small Phillips screws that hold the vents in place. Just remove the vents and fish out the pieces. Better yet leave a couple vents and turn the A/C fan on. Just don't look up then you doit.

Yep, remove cover and clean out. If you want you can take a small saw and cut more out (on an angle) to smooth out the airflow as well.
