Tar specks.

What can I use to remove tar specks from my Axis? I have them on the fiberglass and on the decals and don't want to harm the decals. I tried searching and just got a plethora of different answers.
Thanks a lot.

303 protectant has worked for me.

I keep a small 50/50 mix of gas and diesel...it's worked great for many years. I worked for an oil company years ago. One of our customers bought these products in bulk...mixed and canned it...sold it for $4.00 for a 4 ounce can under a "tar remover" label.

Plain old kerosene works great! Be sure to was the area after and apply a coat of wax.

There are several Bug and Tar removers that work well but the petroleum products work best. I used to get paraffin from oil well sites and it worked great as well as being great wax

10W 40 and/ or a polish type wax (like NuFinish) has always worked for me.

Sometimes if its fresh tar just soap and hat water will work. I say use the least agressive method first then step it up slowly.
