Steering stabilizer for a Freightliner? Can't imagine why you would need one. Steering is accurate and smooth one handed. No wind impact on highway or in mountains. Stabilizer for Ford F53 maybe but not Freightliner.

They DID NOT install the USB plugs in the bedroom. Also, they did not install the MIC for the dash radio for the Bluetooth connection.

Minor details...:

The same model Safe T Plus used on the large F53 chassis is the one they recommend for the Freighliner. Just uses a different mounting kit.

Also on other forums such as Forest River and Winnebago owners of the Legacy and Forza diesel pushers also complain about handling and the need for a steering stabilizer such as the Safe T Plus.

I have one on our Palazzo and is great. If you are not towing, might not need it, but I'm towing a Range Rover and it helps a great deal.

I bought my new 2017 36.1 in June 2017. Did your shower leak into the floor? Dealer supposedly did repair but still leaking under door. Appears the aluminum channel under the door is 180° out. The raised lip is on the drain pan side so any water that runs down the door has no place to go other than the floor.

Shower water

I found the same difficulty with our shower. I issue standard instructions to aim the shower head to the wall opposite the door.....seems to be working pretty well. I have honestly considered going to a shower curtain.

Go to YouTube and search for RV crash and you'll understand why you need one on a Freightliner. I had a Tuscany and one other DP, the wind is a problem even with a DP, larger shell to catch more wind.

Found the video, this was analyzed many times by professionals who stated a steering stabilizer like the Safe T Plus probably would have prevented loss of control after the left front tire blew out.

I have been wanting to open up his subject, especially on iRV2.

There is an entire subforum there devoted to Palazzo topics. Within the same time frame topics were posted to the Palazzo section, there are about twice as many topics in the general Thor section (threads, not posts). This means about a third of the created threads for Thor are related to the Palazzo.

What was that about? Was it just a chatty bunch? Or, did the early model years of this coach have many problems? It makes have a real doubt in considering a used Palazzo should I want to upgrade from my current gasser.

I have a question for you. I've got a 2017 36.1 and the gross combined weight rating is 33000 pounds. Empty weight is supposedly 28000 pounds. Best I can figure, my RV fully loaded is about 30000 pounds which I believe would allow me to tow only 3000 pounds. Am I figuring wrong? Have you had any problems towing? I'm new to RV territory so excuse my ignorance. Thanks.

You need to weigh your coach. 28000 is not the empty weight, it is the maximum weight of the coach and onboard cargo. 33000 is the max combined weight of the coach, onboard cargo, and your towed cargo.

Thanks so much. I didn't see the meaning of gvwr before. Thanks again.

Yes,yes, yes!!! A World of difference. From white knuckle, two handed struggling to one hand driving at times. About a 40-50% difference in ride.

Palazzo

Hi We just got our Palazzo last week. We are on our first trip out in it. We like it so far. We have had a problem with the electric water heater and have had to use the gas for now.

Congratulations rkmash. Expect to find a few things wrong if this is your first purchase of a DP as I did. It can be fixed. Good luck and have a great time.
