Gemini 23TR TV

Has anyone removed the main TV in this coach? If so, anything special about it? What are the steps?

Just returned from our shakedown flight in our new to us 2017 Gemini and after fixing the Jensen radio antenna (I pulled the antenna out and ran it under the top shelf liner (like vfrhugh had done), I went to work on the Jack and TV.

My Jack doesn't move 360 degrees. It only transits about 300 degrees. When I was screwing with that, I noticed the Seiki TV was only 720p and not 'smart'. So it's gotta go.

Everything else (knock on wood) worked well. Not crazy about that sewer outlet and connection, but they say RVing keeps you young. And flexible.

Even got the passenger seat to swivel after the 14th attempt. Like it a lot.

But got to replace that TV....I need my full HD.

Both the inside tv's in mine use the same mount. The back tv is a little easier to see how the release works. There's two latches that must be released together. Removing the tv was one of the first things I figured out to fix a rattle.
Good luck with the full HD upgrade.

Finished. Replaced Seiki TV with Vizio 32" Full HD Smart Tv. Looks awesome especially since you sit real close.

However, found another reason to hate on Jensen. Not only is the DVD player only DVD but the HDMI ARC is not supported.....even though it's on the Jensen menu.

Reading through the manual, no reference to HDMI ARC. And during the install of the Vizio, I tried it.....and nothing.

Next system to go... the dreaded Jensen.

Hoping this is true...

I copied this info from digitaltrends.com: All you need for ARC to work its magic is to make sure any connected components are equipped with ARC, and then simply connect them with a recently-made HDMI cable (2009 or later) . If your current HDMI cables are ancient it won’t cost you more than a few dollars to upgrade. In some rare cases you will also need to go into your components’ settings to activate ARC, but the vast majority of devices have it enabled by default, making it a plug and play affair.

Would not be a surprize if the existing HDMI cabling is "older" but probably difficult to pull the HDMI from the splitter to the new TV;-(

Thanks, Nancy. But you need one more thing for the HDMI ARC to work....a receiver that supports it.

And the Jensen does not. Unless there's some 'magic' in the box that I'm unaware of.

Are the Vizio T.V.'s also available in a 40" sizing?

I think I'm past 14 attempts to get the passenger seat to swivel. I foresee bloody knuckles the day I finally get it. Any tips? 2017 23TR Thor Compass - Ford Chassis

Hi, I posted this on another thread:
I had a lot of trouble getting it to swing too. (Called the dealership, they said it gets easier the more you do it;-)
My process as best as I can recall: I stand outside the passenger door leaning inside; I then shove the front facing passenger seat diagonally towards the center and back; once it hits full stop I grab a hold of the lever and lift while twisting counter clockwise. Nancy

Even on the MB chassis, where both seats swivel, they do get easier with use, though they never were all that difficult. Sure a convenient way to add inside seating.
