thor customer service

I called Thor to today to get my HVAC controller move from behind the slide wall on my Axis (25.3) It's in the wrong place. They wanted me to bring it to authorized dealer so I called all five dealers in area and two only work on units they sell and the other three have openings in February next year.
Called Thor back and my local guy I trust is going to do the work (Tri County RV). They were easy to deal with (Chuck and Steve).

To get a appointment at the THOR Customer Service center in Wakarusa ( Indiana) took 2 months wait, also.

Sort of speaks for itself.

I scheduled warranty repair for next April at the Wakarusa factory so I can avoid the same dealer issues. Plus, who better to fix issues than the factory where it is made. Thor customer service has already been spectacular. Moral of this post is, if you have the opportunity to drive to Wakarusa for warranty repair, do it as it is well worth it.

Taking your coach back to factory service is the absolute best thing we did and strongly recommend all new owners consider the trip.

Yep - it needs to be scheduled well in advance. The team there spends a solid week tuning up and working off the issues on your list. There are probably 10 bays and most are in use. The shop manager - Dennis - hung in there fixing a problem that we had and told me "no one leaves here without their issues fixed. You will not be the first". Dennis was correct.

Just to be clear...the dealerships don't just have Thor and infact Thor is only a small part of dealerships in my area.. The MTBR of subsystems are bad. And all the manufacterers use the same small group companies.
