Thor Outlaw framed with wood or metal?

Does anyone know if the Outlaw walls are framed with steel, aluminum, or wood?

The only steel in the walls are the support panels behind all wall mounted items. These panels give the sheet metal screws holding the cabinets or shelves something to grab into. The walls are framed and supported by welded 1" square extruded aluminum tubing. The tubing and all aluminum products used in a Thor RVs are made in a Thor owned plant (Postle Aluminum) located Elkhart, IN. Balsa wood is used with expanded polystyrene blocks to fill the voids between the aluminum tubing before the fiberglass skin is oven/press bonded. Thor has a nice video about this process on Youtube. The slides outer panels are also formed in the one piece wall and are cutout of the wall by a computer controlled router table so that the always fit perfectly. The window and door openings are also cut on the table at the same time. Airstream uses the same process to cut and drill all the holes in the aluminum skins of their trailers. Not all Thor Inc RVs are made that way but all plant 650, 750 and 850 Thor MC coaches are. Entegra Coach walls are manufactured the in the same fashion as pioneered by Travel Supreme.

On class C's the small walls right behind the cab doors (wing walls) are a wood core with fiberglass covering. When assembled at the wall plant the exposed wood edges are supposed to be protected with a tape called dura seal. It's a good idea to keep an eye on the bottom edge on each side.

I found that behind our TV in the garage of our Outlaw 29H there was a thin plate of Aluminum that went from one side of the wall to the other(corner) which gave me something good to mount our cordless sweeper to instead of relying on plastic anchors in thin wall board for mounting it.

I also bought that device Walabot that you use with you cell phones to see the studs and other things inside the walls because of the aluminum used these days. The wall designs are like the traditional wood stud build so there aren't as many studs like there used to be or framed in general like they used to be.
