I have a situation where my transfer switch does not change over to shore power when plugged in. There was no warning, and we just came back from a nice week of camping where we were hooked up to 50 amp power the whole time. My generator transfer switch works fine. When I take the cover off and go to the shore power transfer switch, I can push the breaker in, and that will send power throughout the entire unit, but once I release it, it stops right at the box. Any ideas would be appreciated, thank you.

The ATS goes to Generator first by default and then shore power causes the relays to switch when the mainboard senses the input voltage.

First make sure your connections are secure in the ATS for the incoming shore power wiring. Then get your meter out and make sure you are actually getting power to those connection points when plugged into shore power.

If you are getting voltage, there are a couple wires you should make sure have tight and good connections within the transfer switch.

If all that checks out, it is likely a component failure on the mainboard and you will need to replace your ATS.
