Thor siesta 24 SA - water leaks

New to the forum. I have a 2013 siesta RV which has been fixed many times due to lack of quality control. Unfortunately we have many water leaks due to rain in the two windows above the cab and the dinette slide out. Does anybody have any remedies or has experienced this problem? Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

24ST water leaks

Rusty,

Our new Thor Synergy TT24 had leaks at both cab-over windows and our dealer took care of them before we signed the papers and took delivery in January. One leak has reappeared and I am taking it back on Monday to have it, and one other item, fixed under warranty. The service manager did say that it's difficult to properly seal a curved window so we will see how this one goes. I am going to try to watch them do the work in case I need to do something while on a trip.

Someone else may have run across the same problem and could chime in.

Best regards,

Thor Siesta 24ST water leak

Took my Synergy to Sonny's Camp-N-Travel, Concord, NC on Monday. The service manager had it in the shop for a couple of hours to pull the right-side cab-over window that had a slight leak when it rained during highway speeds. He said that the gasketing and sealing methods used by the factory were not the best and his shop tech replaced sealant and reseated the special gasket. There is also a known issue in trying to seal a curved window within a fiberglass opening that does not maintain consistent dimensional thicknesses which promotes the leaks. The next time I'll just try Geocel or some other outdoor caulk and see if that works. At any rate the repair was leak tested but I will keep close watch at this location among the other things we need to pay attention to.
