Toad pulling

We have seen some threads about towing a toad
Our coach is a Thor FK 42
And we will be towing a f 150 as a toad weighing
4K-4800
Should we have brakes that work from the coach to the
Truck ?

Thanks for any info

Yes. For many reasons. Safety is #1, but many states require one:

Towing Laws | Brake Buddy®

I agree: laws may require it, but common sense demands it.

Agree, we have a brake system on our Jeep and it really helps. Can't imagine towing something as big as an F150 without a brake system.

I wouldn’t tow without one.

If a 5,000 pound "tail" tries to wag the dog: you don't want to be that dog!

It's unanimous. Don't tow without a supplemental braking system, either a portable one or one mounted in your towed vehicle.

If you will be connecting and disconnecting often, and you plan to keep that toad for awhile, you'll find the mounted systems more convenient. etrailer.com is a good source of information and competitive prices. Educate yourself and shop around. Either way, it's gonna cost you!
