Vegas 25.2 Low Point Drain

I just winterized my 2016 Vegas 25.2, but I can't find a 'low point' drain. I drained the fresh water tank and that is the only drain I can find. Of course, I drained the water heater and blew out all the supply lines. Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Mike R

The low point drains for our 2016 25.2 is under the drawers under the stove top. Not guaranteeing that is where yours is. Seems like every coach is a little "unique" 😉

On my 2017 25-2 all my drains/lines etc were under the jack-knife couch. But, like MoMike mentioned one never knows from one coach to the next if you'll find them in the same place. Good luck.'

It was pretty much like you said. I found 2 valves on the floor under the refrigerator.
Thanks for the quick, accurate respose!

Mike

hi,
newbie, 2017 axis 25.2 owner. i'll look for the low-points. what did anybody do about winterizing the tankless water heater? just blow air with a hot water spigot open, while turning on the hot water heater for a couple seconds? the manual seems to say there's not a worry about water in the heat exchanger, but that seems risky, but what do I know.

I can see the low points, under the refrig, by pulling out the drawer as far as it will go. but how do you detach the drawer so you can get to the low point spigots? (2017 axis 25.2)

If the drawer has rails like on our Axis:

Pull the draw out as far as it will go.
You'll some little black plastic "arms" pop out from one rail to the next.
On one side you push that arm down, on the other you pull it up--this unlocks the drawer.
With the arms pushed down/up continue pulling on the drawer and it will come out.

Duane, I too have a 2017 Vegas 25.2 and 'am looking for the low point drains. I found the lines under the stove by removing large drawer but couldn't find the open/close valves. Did you find them and where along the lines? Appreciate any help.

they're under the refrig.

up / down plastic tabs unlock the drawer so you can pull it totally off. after I blew all the lines, there still was a tiny bit of water to drain out by these low line drains.

thanks to jamiegeek et al

any thoughts on the tankless water heater?

Look right at the floor. One of ours is actually a little below the floor. Also.had to dig the one out of a gob of insulation foam. Don't expect things in a THOR to be in plain sight. (That would take the challenge outnof life)

Are the on/off valves plastic/metal? The schematic Ron from Thor customer service sent me shows the hot/cold drains coming out right behind rear right tires. However when you follow them down the right side of the coach they go to the kitchen sink. That would make them supply lines not drains. Somewhere there has to be a supply line coming from the left side of coach supplying water to the sink with a "drain" valve inline somewhere. Very confusing unless I'm totally missing something. Any ideas?

Jerry -- it might not be much help to you but here is a picture of the low point drains on my 2015 Vegas 24.1. You can see they are all near the fresh water tank. The blobs of gray are the insulation where the drain line penetrates the floor. From left to right are the fresh water tank drain, cold water low point drain, and hot water low point drain. I assume your valves should look just like these. The cold water drain is on a supply line that is common to the shore water and pump. I can't imagine yours are scattered everywhere.

I'd look under your couch, or pull out the bottom kitchen drawers, or look under the stove or refrig. It makes no sense to me to install a low point drain at a place where they have to run a long pipe to then penetrate the floor. I'm sure you'll find the drains right where they go through the floor.

Thanks Ed, yes the fresh water tank drain I found, as in your picture, on the left side of coach under the couch. However, the low point drains and vales are located on the right side of the coach under the refrigerator. I found them thanks to Duane and MoMike. I'll try to get a picture and post it.

Thanks Duane and MoMike finally found the L.P.D.'s under the refer. Thanks Mike on your tip about one of yours being covered with insulation. One of mine was buried and the other partially. Made for an interesting time of it. Thanks again, appreciate it. On to the next exploration. Stay safe.

Jerry,. Glad you found them. That makes sense. Since the tank is under the couch that's where the drain is going to be. But there are no hot water lines under the couch. Do Thor is going to put the hot and cold drains where the pipes are close and accessible. Behind a panel under the refrigerator makes sense.
