Qurky Hotwater heater - Help
I have a 2014 ACE 29.3. -Atwood 6gal hotwater heater that operate on either propane or 120V. It works fine with the propane option. Problem, when hooked to shore power or running the genny-- the 120v will only work if the propane is on. Would love to save propane while hooked up.

If you have the water heater running on propane, how can you tell if the 120 V heater is working?

Is the outside switch turned on for the electric? (behind tank cover)

Here are the links to a couple of videos that talk about troubleshooting the Attwood water heaters.
A common problem seems to be the inline fuse at the water heater. And this reminds me that I need to order one for my spare parts box.

I turned on the genny. With nothing else running you can hear when a load kicks in. If I turn on only the elec heater option. No load is detected. When I turn on the gas, I go outside to verify its on. Next I come back in a turn on the elect. At that point I hear the load put on the genny.

I have a Thor ACE. Don't think a switch is outside. If so how do I get to it?

It takes about 30-40 minutes to heat the water. Have you given it that much time?
FYI the electric draws 11 amps. Also check the gfi in the bathroom.

As stated above, any recommendation to fix will be greatly appreciated.

So your saying it wont work until it defaults to electric? Pull the panel out in the sink base, turn on your electric and check for voltage to element. Seems to me there was some type of relay at the water heater, maybe a wire is off. I assume it has never worked on electric?
