Propane hose

I bought a "T" for my external grill and everything seems right there but when I hook up the hose I get very little pressure going to the grill. Everything works fine inside the camper. It is before the regulator on the camper and the hose to the grill has a regulator. It is a long hose so any ideas if the length has anything to do with it? I hooked up a grill tank to the grill and it works fine. It seems to be the hose but it is only a little over a year old.

The hose has a regulator? Does your grill have one too? It sounds like you might be going through two regulators.

No regulator on the hose. It is a high pressure hose. The hose connected to the grill has a regulator.

when you pull the hose off the T you should have gas come out of the hose if not the T connection is bad.

I have a Windsport 29M. I purchased a Weber portable grill. The modification I did was to remove the regulator from the bbq and changed the connector and hose to the rv. The rv is set up for a low pressure bbq. The regulator on the bbq is to reduce the pressure from a regular propane tank or one of those little portable tanks.

It is a brand new hose. I might take the T off and readjust it. Tighten everything again.

So do you have a T and your hose coming off the RV has the regulator on it and it connects to a regular low pressure hose to the bbq?

You said the grill works fine on another external tank - that was using the same regulator??
I've gone thru multiple single stage regulators feeding my grill from the RV high pressure tap... Have a dual stage in the storage bin for WHEN the next one fails...

If it works from another source - the something wrong with the tap (extend-a-stay or equivalent - but you said gas came out... maybe partially blocked?) or one of the hose fittings - check any 'quick connect' type fittings to be sure they are fully seated...

I wouldn't expect the length to have any impact beyond startup - the air has to purge from the length of the line...
