Water heater to hot

Is there any way to adjust the water temp on an two of 6 gallon. When on electric the temp is way to hot and had actually burned my skin. Have not used on propane. We have a 2017 challenger 37kt. Any help will be very much appreciated as I am afraid for my grandchildren.

Not that I know. I think they're factory pre-set. Ours is pretty hot, too, but since we know, we point it away and add more cold water. With little ones, that means you have to help them. If you've got a beer, I can relate the stories of my dad teaching me to take a "navy shower" when I was young!

On the back side of the water heater there are valves mainly for the purpose of winterizing. You can tweek them to feed a little more cold with the hot leaving the water heater. They were not meant for that purpose, but it is a learned trick to keep the water from scalding you. The temp of the heater is set so it works as a way to cool the feed a little.

Thanks I was not finding anything different online. Being the daughter of a plumber we have always kept the water heater a little "hotter" and used more cold but this water is crazy hot and I will be checking the temp when we get home. Have warranty work to be done so maybe they can check it as well. Thanks again and safe and happy travels to all.

Because you only have 6 gallons having the water hotter means it will take less when mixed with cold and will last longer, especially in the shower!

Atwood 93105 Adjustable Electronic Thermostat

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Installed this on my Vegas.. took 5 minutes to install.. Follow instructions

The thermostat setting on my Vegas was for both LP and Elect.

I do agree with SuperD as i realized the cold water adds to the pressure and makes the hot water last a bit longer.

In the long run I have the heater set at the "D" setting -halfway and its 120*
this has proved to be my comfort zone.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Will try and take a pic later tonight.

If it does what it says, then that is a pretty nice addition. I no longer have little kids around to worry about, but there are times where I stick my hand in the hot running water and it is way too hot. Anyone else have any experience with this device?

I had one on my last RV because of the grandkids and it did work well. I think we set at the 120 range. I actually need to get one for this Hurricane. Thx for reminder.
