Do I need to use a regulator if I am hooking up to my houses city water supply?

If the water pressure in your house is very high, like over 50-60 psi, you might want a regulator. Normally, a regulator is not required when parked at home.

Probably not at home, but highly recommend good quality regulator for travel, not one of those restrictors ,they give you when you bought your rv, but a regulator & get in the habit of just use it everywhere you go. We've been to parks that had 100+ psi, that could cause some damage. Go to Watts website or to local home improvement store & get a 3/4" regulator with water hose fittings & place it at the faucet & no more pressure worries.

And while you are at it.... get an inline water filter for the hose,(get at wally world , your fav rv supplier or CW) hook regulator and filter to the supply spigot, there by protecting your supply hose as well as the coach/trlr plumbing from high pressure & any grit or debris from the water source.
