We're only about six or seven lucky numbers away from owning one of them!

Winniebago has or had one last year. I have been staying in same state park the last few weeks.
I don't have an opinion about it, but the owner seems happy with it.

Pros:
1) It would make the cockpit of the RV very quiet while driving (this might be the only main advantage).
2) Still weigh about the same as the current 35 - 39 footers (Like the Challengers) so the power to weight should not be a problem.
3) Cost less than a DP (I know - not as good as DP ....esp when it comes to towing or mtn driving.... but might cost $10K - 15K less than DP?).
4) Some folks just like Gas vehicles (or are scared of Diesel).
5) Allows front entrance way like a DP - which might make for more useable interior space and longer curb side slide.
Cons:
1) Cost more than the current front engine using the Ford F53 chassis. So why bother.
2) Have to use the DP chassis or make a NEW chassis just for the Gas Pusher so that would make it cost more than the current DP??
3) Have to move the generator up to the nose (no big deal), but might also have a step up in bedroom and loose under the bed storage?
What do you think?
Has any manufacture ever offered a large(ish) Gas pusher?
Would they have to manufacture this RV as a spring ride to justify (or cut) costs (but rougher ride so why bother with this Idea?) or could it be air ride as well?

Who says they don't? I've seen a 39 footer from Winniebago as I previously replied. I read an article that said that three models are in production this year.

I agree: they should be interesting. Will they be available as 2019 models; or must we wait for 2020?

I haven’t seen any information about these new large gas pushers either, but would want to clarify what “gas” means. I normally try to use the word “gasoline” unless it’s very obvious for fear that it could be confused with natural gas, propane, or other gaseous fuels.
With some large truck diesels being converted to run on natural gas or propane, it would not surprise me if someone isn’t working on compressed or liquefied natural gas for motorhomes. I have no idea or information if they are, but please keep an open mind that it “could” be a misunderstanding.

Winnie's site doesn't show or allude to any 'rear engine' gasoline flavored coach, BUT they do have several 'specialty' Units, which includes an ALL ELECTRIC vehicle, with a base Ford F53 type chassis, capable of 100-150 miles per full charge.
Might not get you too far, as for RV travel, yet you also wouldn't have to ever stop and fuel up, since that would be happening during your RV Park or Campground stay : )
(though, I also imagine there would be some conversation about how the coach 'shares' the 50amp Shore power to both Charge the vehicle, the House batteries, and run all the 120v systems in the coach - all at the same time)

After digging deeper, I don't see anything either. I think I misunderstood the owner of the "Adventuer Limited" as far as how new it was. It sounds like it is a UFO Work horse chassis from 2008, it just looked new, had the small headlamps, like my "16".
The owner really likes it.
But they did make some, but they were not cheap. And they did not make or sell very many from what I could tell.

Thanks for doing the research: even if it didn't lead to where we hoped it would.

Over the years there have been about 3 different chassis manufacturers over the years. Oshkosh OREO, Rexhall and Workhorse UFO. None of them sold well enough.

If you build what the Public isn't buying: you become nothing more than an asterisk in History...

In case anyone is doing a search, it’s OREG, not OREO. Spelling correction could have changed it.
I believe it stands for Oshkosh Rear Engine Gas.
Foretravel made quite a few, mostly with Ford 460 cubic inch V8s and C6 automatic transmissions. They reportedly developed a bad reputation due to overheating, but that was not inherently due to it being gasoline powered.
As they say, perception is reality.

Actually: I was thinking about finding some pictures of a successful "gas-pusher"...

If you don’t consider size, early VW camper vans were some of the most popular gas pusher motorhomes.

I have the E450 and only get 7.7 towing a 3k lb truck and keep the tailgate down (drag reduction). 6 is not far from that. I don't know if the 7.7 is expected by most. I was hoping for at least 8 but alas - it's not the first time my hope and reality didn't line up.
I took the mountain pass from El Paso to Las Cruces and the v10 did it jobs on both the uphill and down hill runs. While I was impressed she actually made it, a 40ft class A diesel pusher passed me like I was going backwards and the 18 wheelers seemed to have an easier time of it too.
