2014 hurricane mirror

My driver's side mirror is loose at the base. The top two screws will not tighten up, they just keep turning so that top part of the base is coming off a little from the motorhome and it wobbles a little while driving. Any thoughts on how to fix and tighten up?

We need to see what's under the spot where the screws go in.
There are about fifty ways to fix it and they almost all reside at home depot.
I want to see what's under where those screws go because I like toggle bolts for things like this.

Loose mirrors

It just screws right into the motorhome exterior. Here are some pictures of the good side. The bad side is all duct taped up so everything is covered. I like the toggle bolt idea but don't think they would fit through the little slots in the mirror base.

Velvac Mirror Installation

Here is an installation diagram for the mirrors. They say it is left up to the installer on what to use for mounting. If it is screws used (as shown), then you could remove the mirror and try to beef up the area, maybe even re-fibreglass it. If they are machine threads (w/nuts) your only option is to access it from the inside.
I did get to learn about the 'rough adjustment" for the mirror here!

More from Velvac

https://www.velvac.com/resources ALL the info you need for the mirrors.

ducksface may be right, just bite the bullet and take the mirror off and see what is there... if the nuts drop down inside and you cannot access it, so be it. Then you can do the Home Depot way and find small toggles (or equiv).

Stay cool
