we never had a 'problem' with our doors, other than we eventually realized that they actually get in the way more than they do good - we took them off and replaced them with simple black curtains for the boys - no doors to deal with opening and closing and a LOT less weight.

Palazzo owners group

Just started a new social group, the Palazzo Owners Group. Thought it might be a good idea to have the Palazzo discussions in one group to share and might save some time "searching" for the answers to the inevitable questions the come up during research, purchase and operations. So if you are looking to purchase or own a Palazzo coach this is the group to visit.

Safe travels, Ron and Diane

I believe to 'lower' the upper bunk, you LIFT the bunk up enough to then turn the 'hinges' out of the way, then lower the bunk...

as for the bunk doors - if you're using the area as a closet, then I can maybe see the need for doors to 'close' the area off... but...
if you're using it as a bunk house, as originally intended, then door tend to just get in the way - the weight of the doors also can present a problem since the hinges need to support all the weight only at the bottom of the door - not side hinges as most doors have.

The best move we ever made was to remove the doors. We don't need um.

Changing out bi fold doors

Hi, I have a 2016 Hurricane 34J and my bi fold doors have never worked perfect. On my first trip one of the doors literally fell off while driving down the highway. Someone called it correctly, that the spring is to strong and wheres out the screws and bracket that holds the door on.

I am now out of my first year warranty and am having problem with the doors staying closed. I would like to ask the person how and what he did when he replaced the doors with curtains. How did you do it, and where did you get the curtains? Thanks

Thor did replace both doors under warranty because mine broke second trip out. Even though it took 9 weeks. They replaced the shocks on the doors with the same ones I could see the screws pulling out over time Might have to eventually go to curtains. I did find "bunk curtains" on line at Amazon You could mount the on a curtain rod or shower rod and they will fit inside the bunks...
