Newbie isdues

2017 outlaw 37bg. 1. No hot water, either on elec or gas. I would prefer elec. Fuses/breakers all good. Tank full. 2. The inside lights in the storage compartments, and idea how they work. Not a dang thong in the book about them or the WH. Shakedown weekend SUX

Have you checked your water heater bypass? RVs have a system of valves that divert the water around the water heater for winter storage. Before you turn on the water heater you should make sure the valve(s) are set so the water runs through the heater.

If you run the heater with the valve(s) set to bypass you will damage the heater. Actually, running the heater with the heater tank empty will damage the heater.

There are several configurations of the bypass valve(s). I can't tell you what yours is like.

Welcome! Folks here are good help for questions like that. First have to ask, did you buy this coach from a dealer, and did they give you instructions on everything?
As to your water heater, try checking the valves. You probably have plenty of hot water, but one or more of the valves are closed.
Someone with an Outlaw will hopefully help out here, but the compartment lights on a trailer I once had were controlled by a switch near the trailer door. Some, like my current Vegas, only have switches on each light.
RV manuals are ridiculously inadequate, unlike your exhaustive car manuals. That said, you should take the time to go through the RV manual, and the component manuals that should have come with your RV.
There's a learning curve when you buy any RV, we've all been there!

With respect to the storage compartment lights, you have a fuse panel somewhere. Check for blown fuses. It may be the storage compartment lights are fused separately from the other lights.

It could also be a broken or disconnected wire, or a bad ground connection.

Valves set correct, water in the tank. Fuses/breakers good. Our walk thru was a bit quicker because someone thought we were good. It's probably something simple that we will hopefully figure out tomorrow. Our cold water is not cold, FL heat! But if someone else has a great idea that we can check, I will do it. Thank you so much!
