ACE Cab-over Bunk

We're giving thought to replacing the mattress on the cab-over bunk in our ACE 30.1. Has anyone done this before? It appears that it's a full-sized bed, but I'm not sure we could get something that would bend sufficiently when we want the bed put up (which is almost always). The mattress that's up there might as well not be there. It's really bad ...

Thanks for your help.

Several of my friends have used mattress toppers. Easier to store. Also there are websites that will custom cut foam to your dimensions. USA Foam ( I think) is one of them. Very comprehensive web site.

I have not been able to get mine to stay up on magnets if more than a quilt or two is left on the bed. Maybe an air mattress that has the pump built in would be a better option so it can be deflated enough to close.

We use a memory foam 1.5" topper. When not in use we fold and roll it, put it in a vacuum bag and store in one of the overhead slots.
