Ok, yeah I re-read this thread after I sent the last posting.

But if the HID is plug and play thats a good choice IMO.

So your saying "Blue" light range. Will they actually look blue or the super bright white color?

Oh, Ok. Thanks. I will do some research for mine. I like to upgrade the low beams for sure.

HIDs will run Extremely HOT...be sure your light housing can handle the heat or you may end up with melted and discolored housings. Normally halogen housings are not made to withstand the HID temperatures.

Have you put enough lumens down the road yet to offer an opinion about how well the housings are handling the extra heat?

A few local trips, no more than 3 hours each way. No issue so far..

I have 2015 Axis 24.1 and the same headlight problem. I have decided to go LED all around. Replacing marker and signal bulbs with LED's was an easy process and worked well. The lights are much brighter, cooler and more visible. I was not sure what I should do with the headlight. I could not find any info on the type of bulb I would need. Some suggested H9, some H13 models. Only after removing the fog and the headlight (this was not easy) I have finally learned what I had. The fog bulb was H11 and the low/beam headlight bulb is HB5 9007. I have ordered both from Amazon and hopefully they will arrive tomorrow. I decided to go with Hikari since they supposed to be very bright (but not too much) are adjustable and the same size as my old bulbs. Hopefully this will work. I will keep you posted.

As for the fog lights I decided to go with XSPEED LED H11 yellow/amber
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

but also have ordered a white light H11 LED bulbs from Sealight to compare them with the yellow one:

Please keep us informed. I'm so fed up with OEM garbage lights but I don't need another research project just now. Thx!

Thanks Jusjay; I noticed the last time out that my headlights were weak. Wife actually asked me if I had them on. Didn't notice before. Your upgrade is good info and I'll definitely use it.

Jusjay,
I looked on the Xentec website and couldn't find a replacement kit for the H9 bulb, which my 2017 Hurricane has as well as yours. They seem to skip from H8 to H10 in all the cases I viewed. I want to upgrade as you did before the next traveling season starts for us. Is there a part number for the bulbs you purchased and/or can you hook me up with your lamp suppliers phone number so I can get him to mirror your purchase for me? I would certainly appreciate it.

2015 Thor Axis Headlight LED

I just installed the new Hikari LED lights today. They are much brighter than the halogen lamps. I need to do some night driving to compare them with the old ones. And possibly will need to make some beam adjustments.
Here are some pics.

So, at this point all the light in my coach are LED.

One problem. I just noticed that when the headlights are on the Yellow LED signal lights are flickering. Will put back the old bulbs tomorrow to see what happens. Other than that everything works well so far.

Awesome. Let us know how your first night drive goes. This is on the top of my "to do" list this winter.

I apologize for not following up but I was just not able to drive anywhere especially at night to really check the new LED's. After the new lights were installed I did drove at night around the town once and could clearly see the difference. They are not only much brighter but also are covering much larger vertical/horizontal area. Not to mentioned, available bulb adjustments which I have not even touched yet. I will update you more as soon as I do more driving. Greetings to you all.

I purchased the headlights but won’t be installing them till spring when the cover comes off the RV for the 2019 camping season. I bought both low and high beams. I’m expecting them to be an upgrade like Rysiek. No reason they shouldn’t be.
