2015 Axis Bra/Mask

Has anyone had a Bra/Mask built for the Axis or Vegas, I'm looking at Active RV Upholstery, if you have had one built could you suggest a fabricator.

It's your choice, of course, but I suggest a good coat of wax or polish. When properly polished, bugs wipe off with just a soft scrubber and water.

My experience with a bra cover on a sports car was that you had to be really careful to keep it from damaging the paint on the car. A little rock or some road sand underneath is like sandpaper on the finish.

Your results may vary!

Dryer sheets also work well for removing smashed bugs.

Road debris/a rock large enough to cause some damage will likely do so regardless of the presence of a bra or not...

No bra on ours when this happened:

It was low right next to the passenger fog light (which you can see on the left in that pic). Didn't even notice when it happened, saw the blister at a stop--yeah was pretty bummed when I saw it. Fortunately there really isn't anything behind there, just some fiberglass (nothing to rust). Took a season before I finally got it fixed; now our Axis has a unique paint job LOL.

The guys that repaired it said it was far easier to match the dark stripe than the background grey/tan (since that would be noticeable).

That actually looks nice matches the stripes on the sides.

Watch out Jamie...I wouldn't be surprised if Thor steals your style. I always liked what you did with those fog lights.

I think it looks...as they say around my way...pretty dope.

Unlikely at this point since Thor has already redesigned the front of the Axis and now has a chrome insert around the fog lights:

Thanks for the compliment, however, I do think the shop did a nice job on it.

Yes, but now they have an even bigger grill to allow for rocks to go through the radiator.

Always a tradeoff: I bet you can extract the chassis battery out the front "hood" with this front end

I guess I cant see the point of the bra. The bugs get on the paint, you clean the paint. the bugs get on the bra, you clean the bra.
It is easier to clean the smooth paint than the textured bra.
And bra plus dirt equals dulled paint.
A vehicle with more slope, the bra may protect from chips but with the flat front, less so.

Not sure if you have spent much time in Alaska or Canada but the roads get worked over yearly due to frost heaves and pot holes, with that brings lots of rocks flying so i will be purchasing a Bra, my original post was just asking if anyone has had any experience with vendors.
