Adding leveling jacks after purchase?

Hi,

I think I'm about to buy a new Thor Chateau 24F class C on an E-350 chassis. It doesn't come with leveling jacks. I see that both HWH and Bigfoot offer aftermarket kits for the E-350. Just wondering if anybody has installed these after purchase and can share your experience(s). Who did the installation? Factory or authorized installer or ???

Thanks, Eric

leveling jacks

I installed the big foot system on my Vegas my self. The kit came with everything needed. turned out perfect and works great as well.
Wish I had done it sooner.

Did you install the quad or central system?

We had HWH kick down leveling jacks installed before delivery. Stuart's in Elkhart did the installation. Thor doesn't offer this as a factory option, so your only choice is aftermarket.

I installed the Platinum Leveling Systems for the E350. It has 4 lift cylinders and 1 central pump.

Platinum is on sale right now too! Did you just tell what you were installing it on? It says that it's a "vehicle specific" system.

when you order the kit they ask about your motorhome and send the kit with everything that will work on your motorhome.
I had a few questions when installing so called them late on a Saturday afternoon and they were great. they have 24/7 teck. line

I did not get in a big rush. Welded the plates to the frame one Saturday then the next Saturday bolted the cylinders and ran the lines and wires. Then the last Saturday’s mounted the control panel need some one to help bleed the system so had to wait for wife to be off work. Total around 12 hours to install the system. Only had to buy 4 quarts of atf fluid that did not come in the kit.
Installation instructions are on the website. Check it out to make shur it something you can handle. Welding the plates is the hardest part. If you don’t weld you can have someone do it and finish the rest your self.

I have a 2018 THOR Siesta 24SS and just ordered an equalizer leveling system (quad) and will have it installed in 2 weeks. I looked at the HWH system before going with the equalizer. The equalizer system does not use the large springs to retract the rams like to HWH system uses. Both systems "bolt" on as required since the chassis is a Mercedes Benz 3500 Sprinter. No cutting or wielding is allowed. My coach came with electric rear stabilizers but I need the leveling system to bring the front end up for comfort. Not a cheap item. So far I am very happy with the coach.

I am using J&L RV in Fontana to do the install. It is a family owned and run business. Very good customer service. They are also factory authorized/warranty company.
