adding remote switch for Generator

My 31L is like most coaches I suspect.

The Onan generator has the generator mounted switch, and a remote switch mounted on the dummy light panel, along with an hour meter.

I wish that Thor would have installed a command center panel, so that I can control things from the driver's seat....
things such as the fridge, house AC, water pump, maybe even the water heater, would all be very nice
BUT I really want to add a switch for the generator at least.
Onan is very proud of it's remote switch options, as well as their harness.
About the cheapest i have found is North of $30 and more, for just the switch. It's a simple moentary 3 position switch
with 5 pins
I'm guessing DPDT

I would prefer to do a lighted switch, but a non-lighted would do I suppose
& I figure it would be a simple matter of splicing into existing wiring. Shouldn't take too long to trace out
& I'm guessing I should b able to find a nice looking switch for South of $10 or so....

Anyone here done this?
or do you have a suggestion as to a good switch for me to try?
any guidance?

The Axis/Vegas units have an identical generator start/stop switch on the dash as there is one on the main panel.

With this being our first motorhome I was a bit surprised to learn that they all don't have that (as well as the emergency start switch that joins the batteries).

What I find interesting is most Class Cs I have looked at do not have a generator switch up front while most Class As I have looked at do. I believe this may have to do with the Class C chassis being a cutaway chassis with the Ford factory dash while the Class A is on a stripped chassis which generally (not always) has a dash manufactured by the motor home builder or one of their vendors. My prior class c (not a Thor) did not have any forward controls either and had a control center right inside the coach door and that center had all tank sensors, gen, light and slide switches.

I remember when shopping around, a Winny class c that had a panel with 3 or 4 switches on the dash. pretty sure one of them was for the genny.

I too was surprised ....well, not really.... knowing that these things seem to be solely driven by the all mighty BOTTOM $
But given a choice I sure would have opted for the option.

Anyway, this is something i have wanted since day one, and have thought of often, but decided durring my last trip out that I want to do this genny switch. It'll be easy, but the others not so much so I'll have to live without them.

So
any ideas on a good switch for me to look at?

here area couple of switches I found online

If it helps, the remote switch on my dash is identical in appearance and operation as the one on the control panel. Push down to prime, up to start and down to stop. It evens has the light that illuminates while the generator is running.
