I have a Cummins/Onan on my Hurricane. I can set the auto start to turn on the AC if the temp gets to hot or if the shore power fails.

This is the message i got from onan

Mr. Vines,

Cummins Sales and Service has a store in Chattanooga (423-629-1447). You can contact the parts department and request the EC30 control. Part number for the EC30 is 018-02030. This is a hardwired control that you or your installer will have to wire into the components controlled by the EC30. You will need a wiring harness also (to the genset) and that would be a 044-00074 for the 2.8RVQG unit or a 044-00075 for the 4.0 to 7.0 RVQG units.

We expect by years end to have a wireless unit available and that would save labor hours on installation. I do not have any information on the new unit only the expected launch time frame.

Should you have additional question please feel free to contact me.

Regards,

Donnie Davis

My control is wireless. However my generator is a Onan 5000. That may be the difference.

I have installed the hardwired EC30 on 2 different coaches. There are about 15 wires to run. Onan provides really good installation instructions. Took maybe 8 hours in the Hurricane 32n. Manual is available on Onan's website.

I was able to connect directly to the thermostats. Mounted the EC30 on the wall above the front thermostat and snaked a wire down from the back one. The gen start switch and hour meter were right there on the wall where I mounted it. Hooked up several wires to that panel.
