Axis/Vegas cupholder mod?
Who here bought cupholder adapters for their Axis/Vegas? I briefly thought of going the painted black PVC coupler route, but that idea was quickly vetoed so I'm looking at Amazon now. I thought I'd seen some pictured here that are working out well, but I can't find those posts now. Anyone purchase some that are a good fit?

Painted the pvc couplers to match. Work great, thinking about adding a couple more. What was the problem?

I think the cupholder problem extends to all Thor products, not just Axis/Vegas. I fixed mine by cutting the narrow bottom part off and expanding the lower hole so normal travel mugs and Styrofoam cups fit correctly like most all modern cupholders do.

This is a picture of what I used, got them from Amazon. Cut about 3/4 inch off the bottom, put a bead of 3M Weatherstrip adhesive around the edge of the existing cup holder where the insert will meet, press the new cup holder firmly in place and allow to dry. The new holder will hold just about everything securely.

Ah, wasn't sure if we were the "lucky" ones or if it was a Thor thing in general. Thanks for the tip!

That looks good and easy enough to make work. Now to find it on Amazon. Thanks SuperD!

I printed an insert to flatten out the bottom of the OEM cup holder and my mug travels there nicely now.

I figured you had come up with a printable solution! Good idea!

Cup holder mod
Black painted 3" pvc couplers. To me they look factory and work great!

Cup holder mod
Here is the arm rest/cup holder I made out a repurposed shelf that I had removed from behind the sofa.

Really nice what does the bracket look like?
I like the fact you can't see it.

What if you used ABS couplers? They are already black.

I used the original shelf brackets that were on the shelf behind the sofa. I wish I could find some more of these type shelf brackets to use on some other mods. They are easy to use and are sort of hidden when used.

Thanks! We use the table all the time now. 6 stainless steel cup holders Ebay $24.00
The 3 3/4 inch hole saw cost me $31.00 that was $$ but I bought a quality one. Wanted a factory look.

Bought a 3" black ABS coupler, doesn't work. Outside diameter is too big to fit. Guess I'll try the white PCV.

I used the male adapters versus the female. This gave me a smooth cup holder with the threads hidden. When painting, do several lite coats vs heavy. PVC didn't want to accept the paint.
