There isn't. The slide in the 24.1 only has a 120V and a 12V line going to it and you can see those laying on the floor near the rear of the slide when you look under the couch. The 120V line goes in the wall and up the side to the two outlets underneath the cabinets. The 12V line goes in the same spot for the one light fixture.

I'm sure with the couch removed it would be really easy to follow both lines and not hit them.

The interesting thing I see about this project is the fact that the slide is only about 2ft deep. Once you remove the couch you're only going to have about that much floor space to work with--unless the dealer extends it. Having never been in a 25.1 I don't know how that slide is setup--did Thor extend the floor of the slide to include the dinette? (looks like that one only slides out about 2ft as well but its a full dinette)

Our old 5th wheel had the long slide on the side with both a couch and the dinette in it. In that case, though, the slide extended a full 3ft or more (trailers and 5th wheels don't have to be usable with the slide retracted) and thus the dinette floor was completely within the slide.

Yes, Thor extends the floor to full width of dinette, which is beyond the walls of slide. Can see in attached picture. I looked at this possibility myself a while back, but later liked the dinette without slide even more. That model without front slide has flush dinette floor.

Where the plot gets even thicker is, unless I am totally mistaken, Thor does not manufacture the slides. I believe the slide rooms and all components are manufactured as a unit by Lippert.

Here is the web link for your viewing pleasure

The dinette looks cool. My question would be "when the slide is in, how much does the extended floor/seats extends into the walkway"?

The other question is: What if a whole bunch of us do this mod? Would Thor then think to add it as an option?? (probably not! LOL)

Yeah, probably not. Based on Doc's posted dimensions, a dinette no longer than 68 inches limits it as a bed for too many adults.

On the other hand, if they offered it as the dinette in the 25.3, it would allow a standard 74-inch bed, larger overhead cabinets, and maybe even an extra inch or two to make the bathroom a little larger.

I have a new update on the dinette conversion for the 24.1.

I double checked with the dealer about potential issues of the dinette not fitting in the 24.1.

Thor, apparently, doesn't keep these items in stock. Thor builds as the need arises. Thor requested the VIN from the dealer and will be making the dinette to fit the slide for the 24.1.

Let's see how this all works out.

Dinette

During our first long trip it did not take us long to realize that the couch and table setup in our 2015 Vegas 24.1 was not satisfactory for our style of traveling. So, out with the couch and in with a self designed and built dinette with storage below the seats, and capable of using for a bed if necessary. No problem with the seat belts and wiring, just relocated them. The system is fully usable with or without the slide being extended.

Nice mod. Did you make the seat cushions or buy ready made? The dinette would suit our traveling style more than couch also. Wish I had an ok from the boss to make that mod, but with grand kids etc........

Ziggys Vegas, I'm really impressed with your dinette mod. I hope you'll give us details and instructions, if you did it yourself! The seatbelts are used on both sides?

I have finally used the shower. It did not attack me.

However, what I like most about the door is that the removal of the shower curtain makes the bathroom seem much less crowded.

Ziggys Vegas, Like your dinette. The couch or perhaps future recliners more fits our needs, but your dinette is really nicely done.

I have a 2016 Thor Vegas. My problem is hooking up my sewer line, it turns upward. I was told it just needed to be turned downward but it doesn't want to turn, do the bolts need to be removed in order to turn it download? thank you for your helpp.

The fitting will swivel to point down and out the bottom. It is difficult to swivel.

You could try spraying dry lubricant around the joints.

I think that is a great feature. I store my sewer hose and black hose in there, too. I imagine it will loosen up over time.
