Disregard. I read it in the installation instructions.

OUTSTANDING when we get home I will get right on this! Putting rear view back on to watch the Cherokee after a lane change gets old fast!

How did you get the thumb drive in? On mine the slot is covered by trim piece, I guess it must come first.

Grab it and pull straight out. It should be the first step in the instructions. The other USB from the back of the unit is power for charge only.

This is a firmware update for AMV70, AVM72NAV, AVM80, AVM82, AVM111NAV and AVM111NAV systems.
Go to this link for the firmware download and instructions for your model.

MITO Corporation - Mobile Electronics - Firmware

I just did it to my AVM111NAV and it worked perfectly - no more mute on turn signal!
For my model, I had to pull the unit out of the dash to access the USB port, which you plug the USB flash drive with the firmware update (downloaded on your computer, "un-zipped", and copied to the flashdrive).

Going on our next trip tomorrow and looking forward to the lack of interpretations to our tunes!

Worked on my AVM70, no more audio cutout with turn signals. Luckily the USB port is on the front so didn't have to remove the unit. Only annoying thing is that after the turn signal is cancelled and the screen returns from the side-view camera display, the unit resets the audio balance/fade to original. So if you have the audio only playing to rear (the speakers in the living area in my case) it's plaing on the E450 doors (front) and the rear (living area).

The AVM70 has the USB data port on the front left of the unit under a little black tab you open (that says USB on it). So no, you don't have to remove the unit from the dash.

Thanks for the updated link! I updated ours and the audio no longer stops while using the turn signals. When I was preparing to update I noticed the new firmware version and the firmware version on our radio had the same numbers, but I updated it anyway. It worked!

Firmware Upgrade Fails

In my Vegas, I have the AVM70. I tried to upgrade the firmware, but the upgrade fails. Below is the note I sent to the Axxera support and the response.

"The radio recognizes the USB drive and asks me if I want to upgrade. I click the green arrow. I get the message about not powering off during the upgrade. The the screen goes snowy with a small window saying "No support file" with a green check mark. I press that and it kicks me back out to the radio. All my settings and clock have been reset, but no upgrade"

Response:
"Thank you again and if that is what is doing it could be internal and there could be an issue with the radio.

You may want to think about getting the radio replaced.

Please let me know.

Axxera"

Has anyone else had problems with the firmware upgrade? I just haven't had a chance to call Thor and see about getting it replaced yet.

We didn’t have that issue, but our radio has now developed a “hiccup” when we use the turn signal. When we first updated the firmware there was no longer any halt in the audio. Now there is a slight pause to the audio.

The Axerra clowns put a ZIP extension on a RAR file. I've extracted the archive and put it in a ZIP file and tried to attach it to this post for you to download, BUT it exceeds this Forum's size limit for a ZIP file.

So you will need to use a RAR extractor program to extract the bin file from the Axerra archive.
