Back Up Camera

Has anyone replaced the underwhelming camera for the Axxera AVM 70 which comes on the 2018 Axis 25.5? If so, with what unit and does it have better quality optics and gridlines? Thanks,

Underwhelmed in Poinciana

Go to this place, they have good stuff at reasonable prices with good service.

I had trouble seeing thru my rear camera so I climbed up on the coach {2016 challenger} and found the lense was covered in paint over spray I cleaned it off and can see much better.

Wow! They have all sorts of good stuff in there! Thanks!
Question: If I like my current mirror-mounted cameras, but not the back-up one: is there any way to disable just the back-up camera that is displayed in the Axxera?

Our rear view camera had a protective clear plastic over the lens. Once it was removed the view got a lot better.

Hmmm... Over-spray, and clear protective plastic!
Perhaps I just need to take a closer look at the "business end" if my system!

Find your silver switch box under the dash and unplug the rear camera. Here is a pic of the box, not very big, and the camera and wiring codes.

If you switch to the rear view safety system you can switch to which camera you prefer, or if you install a quad view monitor you can see all three cameras at the same time.

Back up camera update

After calls to Thor - Axxera - Mita - Thor - Rear View Safety I have been told that the camera will in fact give you grid lines if you locate the blue wire on the switch box and connect to a 12v power source. We'll see, update to follow.
