Changing Tankless Hot Water to 6 gal tank

We have a Thor class C with Girrard tankless - not too good. Hot-cold-hot cold. We finally turn the temp to lowest setting - 95 degrees. Almost works when hooked up to city water. Not good for dry camping.

Has anyone swapped their tankless for a tank hot water heater? Can it be done? Is there room somewhere for the new tank?

Thought about it, but using an adjustable pressure regulator set to 53psi solved the inconsistent hot water problem. Its working pretty well now, but you just have to understand that if there is an interruption in water flow, your are going to have a cold water burst until the hot water arrives again.

I was told to set the panel to the desired temperature and only use the hot valve, no mixing. I've set it to 104*. It's mostly okay but shut the flow to lather up and it's cold again. @Laco, do you have a link? I know you mentioned it before.

I will get you the regulator model.

I got mine at Amazon, about the same price.

I have no problem missing cold water with hot for temperature control.

We were told the same thing.

Like I have said, with the temp set at 120, and the regulator set to 53psi we can mix cold water with the hot for desired temperature, just as I say, can not interrupt the water flow, which will cause a burst of cold water until the hot water makes its way back through the plumbing.

I've seen a diverter to recirculate the cold water in the hot line, sold at CW and online but it has to piped back to the fresh tank. It's called AquaView Shower Mi$er, RV – Aqua View, Inc.. The idea is to run that water back until it gets hot. There are several discussion for diy diverter valves too, https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/f...pa/pging/1.cfm

Depending on your units configuration, it seems quite doable.
