CHF and the steering stabilizer.

any one do the CHF on the ford f-53 2017 and not the steering stabilizer? If so, how did it affect the steering. Was it enough, or did you add the steering stabilizer later after trying out the CHF?

I did both and and happy with results. The CHF helps minimize the swaying of the coach and the steering stabilizer helps limit the wandering.

I did the Rear CHF only and nothing else. Helped a bunch! Think the next thing I do will be Sumo Springs to mitigate excessive body rock-n-roll.

Now to answer your question about steering effect.
Did not affect it noticeably. Maybe a little heavier steering, but not very much. I later got the Front end aligned and that helped, along with lowering my tire pressure to 82 psi as listed on the VIN tag by drivers door.

We did just the CHF front and rear and it really only affected sway during turns and when in truck wash and wind. No steering stabilizers or other mods.

Did the CHF front and rear only and made a terrific improvement. Not considering a steering stabilizer but thinking about a rear trac bar. Jim.

Just added the safe-t-plus steering unit but haven't done the chf yet.
Think the steering unit is very helpful.
May try the chf in a few weeks.

For a tremendous improvement in steering, make sure the steering box is adjusted properly. Once I tightened up the box, the travel of the steering wheel was improved. I did the CHF next. Works great for the 18 wheels passing us by at 75 MPH. Did a front end alignment next. Even better steering input. I installed a Safe-T-Plus, mostly for safety purpose's. The last item I installed were AirTabs to the trailing edge of the coach. Our Class A (on a 2016 F53 chassis) is so much better at going down the road. Because we live in AZ, the 18 wheelers can travel at top speed limits (75). I really only like to drive at 65, maybe 70. But that 10 MPH difference pushes things around. After all the mods, now I barely notice them passing us. In CA (where the trucks do 55 to 60 MPH), I laugh at them!!!!
When I first drove our 29.3, it really opened my eyes to how these things suck stock. Now I'm relaxed and enjoy our trips!!!
