I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this or tried it, we were having issues with the heat from the windshield both when camping and while driving. We had our local window tinter install a ceramic coated window film , blocks out more than 70% of the heat . The difference was amazing

I had the ceramic tint all around on my Subaru a couple years ago, worked well. in AZ,

For the cab interior heat and privacy shield route I went to Walmart and bought black-out curtain panels, had daughter-in-law sew them together, and installed snaps on them and on the cab panel surface (only 4 required). Works great between that and the vinyl outside cab window cover.
