A different sink cover mod

Hey all, wanted to share our current solution for a sink cover.

We picked up an inexpensive grill grate and 3D printed a few "feet" that hold the cover in place on the sink.

It's functional for us as it gives us the opportunity to:
- temporarily place hot pans and/or lids on it while cooking on the stove. Handy when you need both hands to manage your meal on the stove.
- allows you to drip dry stuff without taking up more counter space.
- keeps the cat contained when it's getting a bath! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] j/k on that one lol! Don't call PETA

It's just something different. Not as pretty as the ones we've seen from you all...

That's grate!

I like both, the grate cover and 3D print for the keeper feet. I've been having a ball with my 3D printer!

Ours has a bunch of counter space so a sink cover would just be in the way, but for those floorpans where space is limited, I like this solution best so far

Clever! I like the multifunction. Thinking this will be our first sink cover attempt. Camping now and could use the extra space. No 3D options here, but surely other Axis/Vegas forum people could come up with plasticky/rubber feet for the bottom ?

Thx all. There might be options at the hardware store for pvc or metal closet shelf brackets that could do in a pinch... if you don't get 3D printed stuffs

I think you could use some small vinyl tubing, split to slip on and a dab of silicone sealer to hold in place.

Good idea. I will definitely pick one up next time I'm in the local home improvement store.
