Frameless window
Be careful with the frameless windows - all that is holding them on at the top is automotive double-sided tap. We lost a window last month - just fell off the coach when the window was open. If you extend the distance they open I suspect you will stress the adhesive even more.

Not sure what kind of windows yours is but these are actually hinged together with a "C" shape on both halves and that is why you have to remove a screw to slide it off or to the side, no tape involved although I do suspect that the escape window in our bedroom may be attached by tape.

Well for those who are tool challenged there's these. Only drawback is they are single use if driving down the highway so you have to have one for each window you want fully open.

Ever wish our crank out windows opened further?

Will it be "Ceramic tint"? That's the best (but pricy).

Absolutely going with the ceramic! No since going cheap when you consider our investment and mission to keep out the heat. The clear ceramic on the front windshield is awesome

You could put a tether on them, and reel them back in after each use...

Yep, it help me tremendously.
Not to mention you will squint less driving down the road, it will keep your interior looking like new much longer and of coarse should help with skin cancer and age spots. The Older I get that more important that becomes.

While we're on the ladder and have the window loose doing this, does anyone have a suggestion for a favorite 'seal salve'?
I'll want to dress the seals while I'm in there....

You mean to condition the windows rubber seals? I a silicone gel in the past that was designed for GM door seals. I try to use it once a year to prevent windows from sticking.
But I have substited other stuff in the past (Vasoline, Armor all etc).

I will modify our windows in the Windsport soon. I wonder if they are set to open only three inches because if they are open wider when moving or during very windy conditions, the arms might become stressed and break. We try to remember to close our windows when driving. Thanks for the information and video on the mod.

I use Thetford Slide Out Rubber Seal Conditioner. It works on anything rubber. It keeps the slide out seals soft and can be used on the rubber seals around the rv windows.

Just did the 24.1 bedroom and living area. The kitchen hinges in the middle look like that is as far as they are capable of opening even if we could do this fix. They are smaller and maximally extended already.
I tried 2 inch cuts along with 3 inch and no difference going less than 3.
Thinking of some sort of attachment to go on the emergency egress lever in the bedroom window so I can extend the window completely open at times.

Just be careful of the egress window, I am not sure how it is hinged, might be tape or maybe that is how the half windows are hinged. I also open my egress but am careful about how far I open it which is probably 4-5"
