Forward Removable Table

One of the first things I noticed about my Vegas was the "small" table we can use between the Captains Chairs was not exactly user-friendly---both in weight and functionality. My biggest fear, other then pulling my back lifting it, was that it was very easy to spill a drink. And that's the last thing I want to do with carpet and electronics up forward.

Did a little investigating and experimenting and installed some casino chips cups in holes I cut in the table. Was okay but I still did not like the bulkiness of the table. As you can see the cups will hold standard water bottles and soda cans.

Had a 18 inch diameter table top left over from a project from 20 years ago. Sanded it, burned top with Japanese burning wood method, and added 3 coats of Wipe on Poly between sandings. Cut holes in the table top, put in the chip cups (from above), and using exising table top hardware I have a table I like.

If I find this is not big enough for us then I have a 24-inch top I can work with.

Can get Ponderosa Pine Panels from Home Depot as well as the Wipe on Poly. Cups came Discount Casino Supplies.

Like the lighter color of your table and the angle cuts on the backend.

Got some cypress wood I'll be milling and giving a light Japanese woodburning treatment when I make the new dining table. In the interm I'm installing cupholders in the factory table.
