Fuel Cap - Locking

Does anyone know what type of locking fuel cap I need for a 2014 Four Winds 22E (E450)? Not that I don't trust my neighbors, but I don't trust their kids lol.

I bought a MasterPro Select #5902 locking fuel cap from O’Reilly car parts that fits my 2017 E450 Chateau 31W and works really well. Only issue is that the tether on the original cap can’t be used with the locking cap but I’m sure you could figure out a new tether. The old one just pulls out by the way.

I think that Stant also makes a whole bunch of fuel caps; they might have something that'll fit the bill...

Take your gas cap into Walmart or any of the auto parts stores and you or they can match it up.

Back on 10July2015 I got a replacement locking gas-cap for the our Vegas 24.1 (E350) from American Auto Parts of Lincolnton NC (a NAPA parts store). It costs $19.22 and had the part number BK 7031723.
Once I tried to get it opened without the (key was on the other key chain)...it did not give up so I drove home and got the key.

Thanks for the number! There are so many choices online but they seem pretty vague. I am sure they are easily defeated, but I figure it will keep the honest people honest.

If nothing else a locking gas cap should make it hard to stick the garden hose there instead of the water tank fill!

Keep your old gas cap when you get that brand new locking one. We have had two different neighbors in CG's this year experience problems with new gas caps. After having them on for awhile their "check engine" light came on. The code reader indicated it was a problem with the aftermarket gas cap.

Yup! If they're not sealing correctly: it can light up your dashboard!

Thor Freedom Elite 29.9 and Stant 10510

Hi!

So I am considering a locking gas cap. My neighborhood is a little on the shady side and I am considering a locking gas cap. I've read all of the comments and it appears that the Stant 10510 is the cap to buy. Can someone confirm that it will work for my FE 29.9?

Thank you in advance!

Jim

Time to spring for one. The way that I have mine parked I can't see the left side of it...

They used to make a cone-shaped wire coil type of insert to fit into the filler neck that would stop someone from placing a hose in there. Should solve the fuel cap compatibility problem too. Would try to find again but gotta run.
