Hurricane water inlet location changed

Changed the location of the City Water inlet from the side of the slide on my 34 J (still wondering why they placed it here?!?!?!), to down inside the sewer compartment. Used the two pieces of plastic that were hanging down inside that compartment to fill in the large gap left by Thor, and bought a new spickot. Ran one new 36 inch 1/2 flexible riser hose up through the existing slide hole, and connected it to the existing 1/2 flexible hose that was connected to the outside spickot with a brass connector. Now I do not have to worry about my children clotheslining themselves with the water hose, or the tension on the hose from being attached so high.

Hi
I have a 2006 Damon Daybreak with the same concept. The water inlet is at the end of the Rv. Were you able to see the water line? Can't see mine and I want to run it to the holding tanks so I can have it all in one bay. Any thoughts ???

I hooked it up to the city water inlet and not to the holding tanks. My holding tank inlet is high on the psg side and usually only gets filled once in the spring. I would look for the hose in your rig on the inside, perhaps under the rear bed, that is where mine where on my old 2003 Sunseeker.

So here are three pics of my city water mod.

I took the two pieces of black plastic that Thor had hanging (literally) down, cut to fit, screwed them in to provide more road protection. As you can see I tied up all the loose wires Thor had left hanging down waiting to get ripped off.
I purchased two riser hoses online (only used one 3 foot hose) and ran it up though the floor where all the cables / drain hoses were (to left of pics). Purchased a new city water connection (online) and simply hooked them all together (riser hose had a 90 degree angle fitting - I have another if anyone wants it.
I then purchased an end cap at Menards for the existing side city water connector just in case someone forgets and tries to hook up to the original. Placed that on the inside of the existing water hookup. I plan to super glue that shut the spring to prevent this.
