Another MOD bites the dust and thanks to SuperD for the idea. Cold Air Intake Mod using dryer vent with louvers removed, 4" flex hose and 4" clamps. This mod cost $0.00 cause I had the materials on hand.

Can you tell me what the issues were so I know what to look for? Also where did you wind up buying the unit?
Thanks
The generator had 188 hours on it and my husband looked at the oil and it hadn't been changed. There was a tiny little knick in the corner of the glass half-bath mirrored door, a tiny knick in the corner of the dinette seat, the floors were dirty, and there was something sticky (soda?) sprayed inside the fridge. Also it drove horrible, like it had a tire out of balance. There were other things but I couldn't get past those. As minor as they seem and I know the dealer would have fixed them, I just didn't want to take ownership of an RV that had obviously been used, albeit not titled so still being sold as "new". The salesperson said maybe it was a show model, but wasn't sure.
We searched the entire state of Florida for that model. Ended up with a near perfect coach at a price $5k LESS than the show model. Got it at Open Roads Complete RV. http://www.openroads.us Flew up to Atlanta from Orlando. They picked us up from the airport and after paperwork and inspection, we drove it home with one overnight stop. They were fantastic there. We went to 5 different dealers in FL before we settled on that model and they had the best price.

Kev,
If you don't already have a PDI (Pre delivery inspection) list I would suggest going to IRV2.com and do a search for one. Very helpful when doing the walk through.
What do your snap pads do for the levelers? Thanks
Many campgrounds require a pad of some kind between the levelers and the ground to prevent tearing up the asphalt or gravel. I hate crawling on the ground to put wood or whatever kind of pad I had under the levelers.
Snap pads always stay on. They are about 1 1/2" think recycled tire material. Very heavy duty and well made.
I follow the chf thread on irv2.com and several guys have been making brackets to lower the sway bar arms down. Theres a few reasons to do this. If youre interested i suggest going there and read up on it.
The inventor of the chf still has his the unmodified way of the chf so this mods is definately not a most do but i decided to do it. Cost $20 for the metal at a close by metal tard. My buddy did the welding and drilled the holes with his drill press
Ill see how it rides in a coupke weeks when we go to vegas
Nice job Jerry!!! I've been following the chf mods closely, have thought about the brackets but have no resources here to make the brackets, since the originator still has his this way guess I'll leave mine the same for a while.
Like the night shade on the bedroom window, did you use the same source as the other shades? Are there two shades, one dark and one light?
Haven't been able to do ANYTHING lately, had my second heart cath Tuesday and I'm on a 10 lb weight lifting restriction for 2 weeks which sucks!!! Getting old sure isn't for the weak!
Did receive my barrel locks but can't put them on yet.
Really glad you started this thread for mods, makes a handy place to look back for references!!!
I think SnapPads are my next mod. Still considering the day/night shades on the side cab windows... if nothing else, I need some shade when driving when the sun beats down on me from the side.

Yes Dave the bedroom shade is exactlu like the other. All bought from Steves blinds
If you or Dino decide you really want the brackets i can have my friend weld them up for you guys. Id take mine off for the hole patern template. The metal cost a little over $20 and id want to give him a few bucks for his time and welding rods. Shipping would probably be around $10 priority mail
