Johns Windsport mods
Well the one thing that seems to be lacking on motorhome is more 12vdc jacks and charging ports. Especially by the table, couch and bed. So I decided to add some. I put 1 one each side of the table, and 1 on each side of the couch and the same with the bed. It's not hard just a little time consuming. All the cabinets have a false bottom so there is room. And I just wired them to the light circuit.

Is it possible to have a converter that will allow you to plug in to electric while driving down the road without having to run the generator?

It would be an 'inverter' - to change 12vDC to 110vAC...
There are portable (plug in to cig lighter) and hardwired model. What you need depends on what you want to run...
Determine the load of what you want plugged in - everything should have watts listed on label - or multiply volts * amps... That will tell you how many watts you need in the inverter.
Higher watts will drive to a hardwired model. Lower watts you will have a choice.
Since your coach batteries should be charged by alternator when driving down the road - battery capacity shouldn't be an issue.
Search '12v inverter' on Amazon for some ideas.

Me too! I need one each at the sides of the bed. Other than that we have 2 usb's above the entry door & 2 in the dash already.
Nice job!

We replaced some of the factory 110V outlets with these:

They have worked well for us. We added them on both sides of the bed as well as in the living area.

I like that idea as well. We do a lot of boondocking so we may look for some 12v USB port options.

I added a dual USB 12v powered outlet in the bottom of my 'IT Cabinet' accessible outside the cabinet (overhead cabinet forward of exterior door where TV switch, WIFI router and printer reside), and have a 12v USB/cig lighter outlet combo to install on front side of bed platform, and 110v USB/outlet combo to replace the outlet on rear side of bed platform.
Should provide enough choices whether on shore power or boondocking...

For 12V USB plugs why not add this guy: 12V USB with voltmeter (Amazon). It takes care of two things!
I put something similar in our Axis (actually 3 of them throughout the coach). The one I put in didn't have the voltmeter on it, however--might have to swap one out for this one just because (perhaps I'll swap out the Thor Factory one on the dash with this one which will provide two advantages: I think the one Thor uses only provides 500ma and the voltmeter of course).

Just an FYI for those DIY USB installers. The USB power standard is 5 volts DC for attached devices. So a 12 VDC installation requires a DC-DC converter somewhere. Its built-in to those lighter plugin chargers.

It is also built in to most of these 12V USB chargers.

Rapid camp mod.
I decided I needed a couple more latching circuits on the rapid camp receiver since it only has 1 latching circuit for the lights. All the other functions are momentary, you have to hold the button on the remote to keep the relay closed. So I designed a circuit that does the job.
