They have thousands of different heights, widths, and lettering sizes you can chose from. As you can see from my original post, I tried a couple of different sizes.

Or, you can get them from the factory pre-labeled.

I suppose I should show the labels on my coach - I finally got around to putting them on today:

My 2014 coach just came with the switches properly labeled. I didn't realize that it was an oddity until I see folks making labels for their RVs.

Perhaps the switch supplier ran out of the silkscreened covers?

Also, regarding clearances. The 13 ft 6 in is the maximum height allowable for a vehicle. Special permits are generally required for vehicles running over 13' 6". During my interstate highway travels the lowest overpass I have encountered is 14' 1" and they had over height detectors along the road to warn folks and direct them to a detour if required. That was a 12 mile, 3 overpass, section of I95 in NC.
The ALLSTAYS camp and RV app for Apple has bridge heights for most bridges and underpasses. And you can set the filters to just show bridges under 12'.

More than likely they just started labeling the switches, and/or maybe only for certain models.

If they ran out of silkscreened covers, they would have most likely just used a sharpie.

I am more concerned about bridges in towns as well as overhangs such as at gas stations rather than on the highway.

Looks like someone tried but didn't quite clear. Makes me wonder if they posted the clearance before or after the fact.

Gas stations have a real problem. I took my car to a Sheetz and noticed they did not have a clearance height on their canopy. I asked the folks inside and nobody could tell me what their canopy clearance is.

....the gotcha is the hill crest.

There may very well be 11ft clearance straight down from the fascia, but you have to remember that the coach or trailer is coming up at it at an angle.....
remember your trigonometry?

Oh yeah, & I love that the magic number 6 is waiting for me about 10 ft away, and no cranking up, cranking down, unhitching, etc... is required..... merely set the emergency break and enjoy.

I am sure that is what happened. Here is a photo of the down-hill side, just beyond the crunch. Quite a ramp, and with all of that decline, I am sure as soon as the rear tires went over the decline the roof of the RV smacked the overhang.

I took this photo at Hershey, PA during the RV show last Sep. I am sure one of the display RVs didn't make the show.

I ordered labels from this company on a Friday morning, they shipped out Friday afternoon, and I had them in my RV on Monday!! Thanks for the referral FW28z, a really great company.
For those of you, like me, who might need more than labels, but actually want a lighted switch, JR Products distributes both the the larger switches (part no 12045) and the smaller panel switches, these come in several colors (12765; 12775; 13715), through Amazon. I like the lighted switch because I want to know if the water heater is left on--or the porch light, and I want the ceiling light switch to always be illuminated so I can easily find it when entering a dark RV.

Do you whether or not those labels might fade over time?

They should't, they are not in direct sun light Even if they do, it only takes a few minutes to print and install a new one. Here is a pic of the installed label (not the best photo I've ever taken, but it give's you the idea):
